This actually spawned off of an attempt (failed) to make an unrealistic eye. Many have said that staring into the center of the Eye Magnet has a very hypnotic effect and that it makes for a good aid in guided hypnosis. An attempt was made to make it spin, which only resulted in many moments of sickness.
